| TWRoO said: I posted this on the Hardware by region messages. in reply to this link: http://www.wii-consoles.co.uk/wii_stock_history.asp?Productid=3 (click the "wii in stock" tab which will show you each Wii bundle price and when it was in stock) @The Fury... thanks for that link. It seems that for the most part the Wii was only in stock at normal price last week on Amazon...... it was in stock from tuesday till the end of the reporting week for £180. There were very few other places where it was £180. In John Lewis they had a £180 option available for about 4 days. In Wilkinson they had it £10 cheaper (but who the hell buys consoles from Wilkinson?) but it was only available for 18 hours. Tesco has the £180 option but it wasn't in stock last week. The rest of the places doing £180 options I have never heard of. You should all note that these are only the online stores for these places (I think the only exception is argos, though it wasn't available much last week, and the cheapest seems to be £250 [PS3 retails between £280 and £300]) Game and Gamestation do seem to have had stock for the past 10-15 days (online at least) though you still seem to have to buy at least 1 set game with it. and the more available options have 2 or 3 games bundled. |
It's cool. I'd reply on Hardware section but thought here as well.
I just went on a hunt on my lunch (yeah my lunch is that boring usually):
Zavvi.co.uk have it in stock (infact someone was buying one as I was in there).
Dixons which for weeks had a 'not in stock' sign up, this is no longer up (saold out of DS though).
Gamestation and Game have it apparently, as well as Forbidden Planet. Most placesother then these have normal £180 option.
Here's a nice little bit of figures though, Argos has a 'Stock Checker' in stores. I visited the largest of the chain in Notts city centre. They have about 40 360s (this is Arcade+Pro+Elites), 8 PS3s and 13 Wiis.
In the UK the Wii sold only 1000 more then the PS.
Hmm, pie.
