I've said before, Nintendo should stop sitting on its cash and buy two publishers. They should by Capcom and Square Enix. Monster Hunter, RE, FF and DQ have dedicated fans who will buy systems for their games. Those same fans will also buy the third party titles that are struggling on Wii U. With other titles like Tomb Raider, Street Fighter, etc, Nintendo's consoles would have a very full lineup without any third party support.
Nintendo should spend about 3 Billion US$ to take a controlling stake in those companies. Let them run independently, with their own more mature branding, but streamline them and make them exclusive to Wii U and 3DS.
