Steam has daily and weekly deals as well. Also there are plenty of other places where you can buy PC games for cheap year round. There is always somewhere with a sale going on. Most of the stores give Steam keys for most games (or Origin for EA games). Or they are DRM free like gog.com. Greenmangaming usually has a 20-25% voucher that works for even new games and preorders. And of course there is the Humble bundle/store https://www.humblebundle.com/.
