I'm not sure about MediaMarkt's situation in Belgium, but in Sweden they are in quite a bad situation overall, which has led to speculation that MediaMarkt will close many of their stores over here.
Selling off their stock of Wii U in Belgium might be a sign that MediaMarkt's overall situation over there is equally bad or worse than in Sweden. It might simply be a necessary inventory reduction across the board of products that are expected to sit on shelves for quite a while, As Wii U is heading into its low season, it would of course be affected by such an inventory reduction.
