The Nintendo Wii is killing the PS3 in sales worlwide. PS3 beating the XBox 360 is not a huge victory. Sony will be the biggest loser at the end of the generation and will be a distant second place selling just over half the amount of consoles as the Nintendo Wii. Nintendo Wii is the best console = more consoles sales than both PS3 and XBox 360 by generation's end. Both the XBox 360 and PS3 are overpriced and do not capture the casual gamer market.
End of generation expected world wide console sales:
Nintendo Wii = 120 million PS3 = 70 million XBox 360 = 50 million
