No it won't. Not to the majority of people it won't. People love Nintendo games, but if the machine doesn't have the biggest third party games like GTA or Madden? Not going to cut it.

If Nintendo wants to improve sales, it needs to be $199.99. Even then, it won't do much better than GC.

We were discussing if it can pass GC sales. GC didn't have much 3rd party support either so the 3rd party point doesn't mean anything. You go on to say that a price drop would help so you more or less agree with me.

The Gamecube had alot more third party support and the games it got, where BETTER versions than the PS2. Wii-U doesn't even have Madden. You know you're in deep shit when a game like that doesn't ship for your console.

I think, honestly, they need to open their wallets and say to some of these devs "look, we are going to assure you ___ in profit by insuring your software upfront". That would get SOME support back. You simply can't expect to sell a console without sport titles.

The best selling Madden on Gamecube sold 700k and was the 69th best seller.

Just for comparison the best selling Madden on Xbox sold 1.86m and was the 12th best seller. The best selling Madden on PS2 sold over 5m and was the 15th best seller.

Madden had absolutely no affect on Gamecube sales while on Xbox/PS2 it was one of the most popular franchises.
