Sorry I have to jump in here, not stopping 3DS coverage or people on forums thinking phone games are crap doesn't disprove what he said, the were a number of people and analysts flat out saying that the handheld market was in trouble and that phones were taking over, some people still hold on to this notion. It reminds me of back in the PS2 era when games on Facebook and other social sites were taking off and the was this notion that in future it could kill off consoles, many of us knew it wasn't going to happen but that still didn't stop many believing and speculating that it would.

I never said those things didnt happen, im simply saying their were people saying and still saying phone games are crap but also say they are taking over in the same breath. Those two beliefs dont contradict.
