Its a direct comparison from last gen no cloud. To this gen Cloud. The difference is phenominal. So yeah it was needed regarding the OP's question. Forza 5 proves at launch day it already makes a difference.

GT5 already use "Cloud" and GT6 will receive the feature soon too lol.

GT5? The last time I played it was about a year ago. But the AI in that was no different. Not just GT but also Forza 3 and 4. GT was the most train like procession though. Hard AI was simply braking later. Still on the train line. Sorry, last gen games AI was extremely poor in comparison.
