They certainly didnt lose money on it in the past years since they never cut the price until last summer so i find it very difficult to believe. If they are losing money now, it certainly isnt that much cause Sony isnt exactly investing like crazy on the Vita ever since it launched.
Maybe for the year, but they haven't come close to recovering the developing costs becasue the PS3 the first 3 or 4 years losing money on every unit sold, and its only since like 2010 or so that they actually ring a little profit from each unti sold.
As for Vita, the price was only cut in Japan, so maybe they make a small profit off each unit sold there, but not in the rest of the world.
This isn´t correct. The official price is 169€ in Europe for a PSV(Wifi)+8GB card with 8 games download bundle. A regular PSV(Wifi) without any accessories was 250€ at launch in 2012.
Do you have a souce for that?, I'm not saying I don't believe you its just the first I'm hearing about it.
