It's no typo, that's right. Remember the PS4 has been officially launched in a lot of countries now that are not covered by the "North America", "Europe", "Japan" categories, namely; Saudi-Arabia, Brazil, South Africa, Hong Kong, South Korea, Singapore, Malasia, Taiwan, Australia, and New Zealand. That's 10 countries. If they sold only 10,000 units in each country they could easily meet 100k. In fact, I'd wager they'd probably have sold more, maybe even 200k+ if there wasn't availability issues as these are densely populated countries.
On Monday they launch in India and I'm predicting 75k sales in the first week minimum, I won't be shocked if it manages triple figures. Whilst the general population may be more limited financially than most western countries, their economy is booming so there are plenty of people who can afford and want a PS4 in the major cities. After all there's over 1.2 BILLION people in India, that's 4 times as many people as USA. Even if only a quarter can afford it, that's a larger potential market than North America.
