Pachter keeps altering his predictions as new information comes in, sales data etc. We can all do that but the difference is he gets paid a shit load of money for it.

PS4 is looking very strong, wii u still looks very weak and Xbox One in the middle. Everything can change depending on price, games available, marketing success etc. It's fluid. Certainly at this point though the PS4 looks to be the no.1 console of this new generation. I mean its not that hard to work out. The wii u is no more powerful than the last generation overall and the Xbox One is weaker than ps4 technically but at a higher price. Why wouldn't you buy a PS4 in preference to those consoles. Also you'll get games from the widest choice of developers, not only the best versions of multiformat titles but a wide selection of japanese titles that won't be on xbox one. It's a no brainer really. PS4 seems the best choice of the new generation but still worth buying a wii u and xbox one for their exclusive games if your an avid gamer. However for consumers who just want one console its hard to argue against the PS4. That said the timing is a bit early. Better to wait for a wider choice of games I think. At least the wii u has wii compatibility so you can keep playing your wii games in addition to new wii u games.
