| zippy said: I still maintain that the Gamepad was conceived as a tool to assist Miiverse...for Miiverse to function as it is, it needs the gamepad for ease of typing and especially for creating artwork which is a very heavy feature. None of these would be possible on a traditional controller layout. Nintendoland, Zombi U,W101 , Rayman and Game and Wario have great ideas to show off what the gamepad can add gameplay wise, and off tv to me is the single most useful concept in the history of gaming. I havent had to fight my wife for the TV for a year now..peaceful days. |
I came to this conclusion when using miiverse myself. The problem is that Nintendo needs a far bigger miiverse integration to really show it off. Like an amazing Animal crossing and some other IP.
3D world is already starting to show a very nice integration with miiverse. The way you can see other mii on the levels itself is really nice.
For OP: Without the gamepad the Wii U would really be a GC. Forgotten, left to the side and with nothing setting it apart. NIntendo has to bring more software to sell the gamepad. They have bring their vision of it.
