I really hope you're right and the N64 Rainbow Road will be on there…in HD!!! If not that one, then I'd vote for the Wii Rainbow Road but that one probably isn't "old" enough to be included yet, and that one is "wild" enough that it might have too many similarities to the MK8 Rainbow Road (which I think we all can agree will be the most insane track the MK franchise has EVER seen!).

What I'm curious about is whether they'll go all-out and add "anti-gravity" sections on most/all of the Retro tracks as well. If they do (like they added some underwater and simple gliding sections in the MK7 Retro courses) then they'll probably be making their Retro track selections based on which courses will allow for that. And if that's the case…the SNES and Gameboy Advance MK tracks don't really lend themselves well to being remade with "anti-gravity" sections. So that would leave 64, GC, DS, Wii, and 3DS courses up for consideration.

I think MK7 started a new trend with SNES Rainbow Roads inclusion, where the next new game will have the next RR in it, so N64 RR in MK8, GBA RR in MK9, and so ons.

I really can't see them not remaking tracks from the two games with the most courses still available. Just like with Gliding/Underwater, if it fits, it fits, if not, don't force it. Though I think it'll actually be just as easy to add anti-gravity to a track as it is for Gliding, since all you need to do is stick a wall somewhere.
