The massacre between PS3 and 360 happened throughout the entire year with the yearly gap now at 2.6 million and will likely finish around 2.7 or 2.8 million as a final 2013 tally. The yearly gap has never been so high for PS3.

The X360 also had a head start. History shows that to look at sales trends in this industry is a false economy.

Did the PS3 follow up the trend of the PS2? Did the x360 follow the trend of the xbox or wii u the GameCube? No.

So what makes anyone thinks the Wii u, PS4 and Xbone will follow the trends of the last generation. There is no norm in this industry.

To say something is going to happen this gen because it happened last gen is rather.. you know..
