For the most part, yeah, it seems to have been an expensive gimmick. The Wii controllers changed game-play on the system, which meant that the games themselves changed. The Wii U game-pad isn't really doing that in most cases.
Should be an interesting thread. I expect to see a lot of posts that take the low road and bash him without really addressing much of anything.
