It has a 92 on metacritic which makes it the highest rated FE game ever. Just because does not like it does not mean it is not good. The fact he has only played one other leads me to believe this type of game might not be his favorite. I recal he like more emotionally driven story lines like Tales of Symohona or the like.

Your problem is I couldn't give a rats ass about metacritic. The game looks average to me despite it's metascore and this applies to almost every other JRPG out there. 

I could not give a rats you could not give a rats ass about metacritic. You made a general statement about an entire genre. Game quality is subjective in nature, aggregate review attempt objectify a games quality.  Else I would only have word of mouth to go on like "jrpgs are going down the crapper" by some who has not only not played the game in question, but is basing his premise of someone else's word of mouth impression.

360- 37 million   Should trend down slightly after 3rd year peak

PS3- 29 million  Sales should pick up next year, 3rd year peak and price cut
