farlaff said: I mean, wow, if we were to consider the market WITHOUT the 3DS, WiiU would be, by far, the best selling system the last couple of weeks there (1). I know PS4 has not yet landed on those tracks but, if we take what is happening now in, say, the US, where the sales of the U are not much far from those of the PS4 (2) (even though the latter has all the hype train to help it) as any indication, Japan is to see Nintendo rule there again. And why do I think this is good? Japanese games! (3) I want them to go back home where they belong! MH3U is there. Platinum exclusives are there. Dragon Quest (even though I don't care much about this one) is selling well. The Hyrule Warriors project. It's all good news for those who, like me, have grown with much more japanese content than western one. |
(1) So, are you saying that WiiU is going to win Japan just because some casuals gamers bought systems to put them under the tree?
(2) There is no PS4 on any shelf and it is still beating WiiU in its strongest period of the year (see above). Once Xmas shoppers are back home, PS4 will slaugther WiiU in the US
(3) WiiU will be the last system to receive Japanese games. Japanese publishers currently have no projects for WiiU.
