Really ? I haven't been too impressed with them because because of the badly aged turn based combat and the quirky art style. I don't think I've ever looked back on WRPG's > JRPG's and the game that tipped that was fallout 3. If you ask me there were alot of below average JRPG's.

Most RPGs these days (especially on consoles) aren't turn based. None of the games I listed are even turn based. Quirky art style is pretty subjective. I don't like the art style of games like Neptunia but all the games I listed have pretty good art styles to me. Basically as long as nothing is too "moe" or "kawaii" or overly exaggerated it's fine for me.

Actually there are alot of turn based RPGs, well JRPG's specifically. Handhelds are known as a heaven for turn based JRPG's. 
WRPG's are a different story altogether.
