They could instead be completely original courses, and some could even be based off of other Nintendo franchise's. Since hearing about Sonic getting levels from Yoshi and Zelda, I've been hoping for a Green Hill Zone course for MK8. While I do think it's unlikely, new mario karts could still feature some free retro tracks while all the other ones would be paid DLC. It's not like people buy mario kart to play the retro tracks, they just increase the value of the game.I would like DLC tracks based on other nintendo franchises. I really just want more tracks to race in and retro tracks seem like the easiest thing for nintendo to do.
