You can have your opinion, and you can read a million articles with opinions that are similar, but they are all just opinions.  I have yet to see any concrete data, and in my personal experience the majority of Wii owners owned another gaming system in the past.  And the majority of those also ended up buying a PS360 once HDTVs and COD became widespread.

I personally don't see Wii U's problem so much that casuals have left traditional gaming, but rather that many Wii owners have relatively recently purchased - and become attached to - a PS360.  Wii U has yet to truly present a case why those potential buyers should pick it up rather than keep enjoying their PS360 until PS4 or XBOne (or Wii U) become cheaper.

Third party sales do not agree with your statement. No...Wii owners mostly are not attracted to the PS3 and 360. The PS3 360 crowd is dominantly the PS2 successor crowd who buy primarily third party content. You know from companies like EA and Activision? Look at the sales.

As I said, the control schemes of most modern traditional controllers would throw off the new market Nintendo had created. It would turn away the senior citizens and other new demographics who bought the wii for its simple plug and play dynamic with simplistic waggle control style in Wii Sports and things of that ilk.

You're right about one thing, and it is that the Wii U has yet to present a case. Gamers who understand marketing though understand that the controller is a turn off and casuals and non-gamers can get their fix just buy paying for cheap tablet or PC games like farmville and get their fix just as easily.

Nintendo sales are actually opposite of Microsoft/Playstation sales. On Nintendo first party rules. The HD twins third party rules and first party lives harmoniously amongst them selling based on the taste of the gamer.

Ummm... third party sales do support my statement.  Wii (and Wii U) owners for the most part purchased a PS360 in between said purchases.  3rd party games - especially multi-player games - are better played on a PS360 due to better porting and larger online communities and established friend lists.  Personally I play COD on my Wii U to avoid annual Live fees, but I can't deny the experience would be a little better on my 360 with downloadable maps and a vastly larger opponent pool.  There really is nothing to support your opinion other than some other people's opinions.
