I compared Wii U and Gamecube library in its first year and Gamecube is crushing it... Also you are wrong about Gamecube not recieving biggest third party franchises, it got them...

please show me a list of this of all these sytem sellers, in gamecube first year, remember wind waker came out in 2013 except in japan.

Luigi's Mansion, Wave Race: Blue Storm, Super Smash Bros Melee, Crazy Taxi, Star Wars Rogue Leader: Rogue Squadron II,  Animal Crossing, Extreme-G 3, James Bond 007: Agent Under Fire,  Jikkyō World Soccer 2002(now known as PES), Resident Evil(ReMake), Super Mario Sunshine, Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem, Star Fox Adventures, Phantasy Star Online Episode 1 and 2, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Resident Evil Zero, Metroid Prime, Mortal Kombat; Deadly Alliance, James Bond 007: NightFire... Notable games from November 18 2001 to November 18 2002... This does not include all the Maddens/NFL's, Fifa's, those Ea's hockey games and that stuff...

Wii U is getting wrecked by Gamecube in library department... So are you going to be in denial?

GameCube was also dealing with far harsher competetion, it didn't get cream puff competetion like 7 and 8 year old consoles.

You can make a similar list for the Wii U honestly ... New Super Mario Bros. U (previous entry sold 27 million copies), Nintendo Land, Pikmin 3, Game & Wario, LEGO City, Super Mario 3D World, Wii Fit U (previously sold 20+ million), Wii Party U (previously sold 10+ million), Rayman Legends, Sonic Lost World, The Wonderful 101, Call of Duty: Black Ops + Ghosts (biggest third party franchise for last 5 years), Assassin's Creed III + IV (third largest 3rd party franchise), Batman: Arkham Origins, Zombi U, Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, Splinter Cell: Blacklist, Scribblenauts Unlimited, LEGO City Undercover, Just Dance 2013/2014 (biggest casual franchise), Skylanders (biggest kids franchise), Zelda: The Wind Waker HD, Wii Sports Club (biggest game of previous generation), Resident Evil Revelations, Tekken Tag Tournament 2, Injustice: Gods Among Us, Need For Speed, LEGO Marvel Superheroes, Mario & Sonic Winter Olympics (former 8+ million seller), Dragon Quest X (Japan).

Its all that and nice, Wii U has nice 3rd party support. But nowadays the exclusives dictacte mostly the sale of the consoles and not really the 3rd party developers like before... to me Gamecube is light years ahead. :P
