I didn't bother finding your other post where you had quoted me but now that you said that the 3DS was overtracked by a lot. I did a bit of research and we have it undertracked by almost 500k globally as of august 30th 2013. Nintendo had stated that they had sold 6.47M 3DS's worldwide so far in 2013, yet we still have it at 5,9m as of august 30th 2013. I also checked some NPD data and there is a considerable amount of months where we did not even get the data for 3ds sales. I don't know how seece concluded that the 3ds was overtracked by 700k in the US. We know that it is overtracked by 400k in the UK, but it's definetly undertracked somewhere else and then some resulting in it being undertracked overall.

Uh, the only 6.47 million number I am finding is software in the US.  VGC seems to have the same (slightly more) for the same time period.  Hardware shipments stood at 34.98 million at the end of September.  In comparison VGC has 34.81m sold to consumers as of September 28th.  At least as of that point in time, the 3DS was overtracked.
