Then what did we get? COD 4 skipped the Wii. The game that caused the franshise to explode. So everyone including myself bought a ps3 or 360 to play it. This mean a lot of Wii U owner will buy the best version they can if they have multiple systems. I doubt that there is many WIi U only owners so Activision need to provide reason for people to switch platforms to buy the game. Or keep expanding to a new market on Wii U, which will be hard since the userbase is small. |
first off, people keep bringing up COD 3 on Wii beating the PS3 like it was some kind of accomplishment. It wasnt, there were much less PS3s in the wild than Wiis PS3 version was supposed to sell the worst and that doesnt take into account the 360 version selling better despite it having less sales than Wii. and no COD 4 is not when the series explonded, WAW released after that and that game did worst than 4 MW2 is when the series really exploded but that was never released on Wii so you still kind of have a point. Using COD 4 is a cop out and an excuse, heres a crazy idea. Maybe just maybe the Wii version of COD 3 just flat out was much worst than the other two, most people realized it and said yup no more COD on WIi for me, that game sucked.
as for the bolded not going to happen. People arent swithcing systems to play COD and if they are it sure as hell isnt for Wii U the sales pretty much already prove that, and even then their is no new market on Wii U, this isnt the Wii. Sales of the system prove that, people who are buying WIi U are the Ninty faithful and some core gamers, core gamers will either buy the game for a system they have besides Wii U or for Wii U either way its not an additional sale because they would buy the game either way. Very few of the Ninty faithful will buy it im talking Ninty only gamers, sales prove that too.
