Please, read the opening post. I´m not interested in excuses for the delay. Instead I´m asking for what affect the delay will have to the Japanese market. Because obviously the lack of competition this holiday season benefitted WiiU quite a lot and to a margin that even the more optimistic users didn´t expect. While PS4 missed the holiday season in Japan.

Will not affect the PS4. The PS4 would sell the same amount of units in 3 months in Japan no matter the release. PS4 will be pretty big in Japan, alot bigger than PS3 ever was. What does Wii U selling over 100k have to do with potential PS4 sales? The Wii U could sell a 1000 or a million units, but the PS4 would still have sold out of its shipments just as fast as the rest of the world.

Sony doesn't have any anticipated Japanese release games to satisfy the PS4 community, so they are waiting until they are close to ready and will then launch the PS4 in February.

Based on what came we determine it will sellout like rest of the world? It will have more dead months than vita and less constant support than the vita. Sony first party is irrelevant in Japan. Final fantasy/kingdom hearts aren't even the biggest games in Japan and don't have release dates. Both suffered this gen and lost huge fanbases. Sony brand itself isn't strong anymore in Japan. Most games coming to playstation next year in Japan are on vita/psp/ps3 so we can see that ps4 is getting vita'd in the first year by previous platforms. Lastly, All consoles and handhelds are in a decline and we are suppose to believe that Ps4 is going reverse this trend, knowing all these factors? I'm sorry but I don't understand how ps4 is going to do this as if it's God's gift to Japan.

I see personally all consoles in decline by 25% or more.

(forgot to add 400 price which if Japan will not buy 250 3ds or vita, good luck on 400.
