In the 10 years I've had XBL, I can't remember one single time it was down for "maintenance". Not at 1pm, 1am...3am...never. It's always just...worked. Back when PSN was free, it was acceptable, but if we have to pay for it, that's now out the window. |
Yeah no..

Yeah no what? No that I'm lying? Or no that it's gone down? Because that's two separate things. In 10 years, MY XBL has never been down, ever. Since November 15, my PS4 has had the store go down multiple times, PSN go down for maintenance, codes redemption shut off, the what's new app shut off etc. It's just unacceptable.

No as in Xbox Live has had problems like this before as well. It may have never happened to "YOUR" XBL account but it doesn't mean it hasn't happend. Much like my PSN and game was still signed in when I came home last night. Your using your personal experience to implicate that XBL is better then PSN when it's just your opinion. We all have had issues here at one point or another with a system, well maybe not you since your world is perfect with gummie bears and rainbows. People have had trouble with both PSN and XBL sporadically since the launch. That's what this is, a launch. You bought a PS4 at launch time and it's unacceptable that the service had issues? Maybe you didn't realize your pretty much a beta tester if you a buy a console at launch..
Regardless, the service is actually back now anyways, so sorry you had to spend your Christmas eve with PSN down for a few hours..

When I got a 360 AT LAUNCH, I did not have to put up with what I had to out up with with PS4. MS didn't have to shut down code redemption in order to keep XBL up. They didn't have to shut down anything. I am NOT biased, so I call it as I see it and since launch, Sony has wet the bed.
