I find it always so amusing how people think that manufacturing electronics is as easy as baking cackes. Sony had to challenge MS for NA Region for that was where Microsoft dominated for the past 8 years, and since the PS4 sold more units so far in that Region it paid off.
And no matter when they launch in Japan they will dominate that market, because nobody cares for the Xbox in Japan, and even in Europe to certain extent. Thats why they delayed the European launch as well.
And another thing is why do you think they helped Nintendo with delaying the system?
