Well...it's true. If they make a public move like that, then due to the partnership between the NFL and Xbox, anyone under the veil of the NFL has to get an Xbox. Jim Irsay did it. I guarantee you won't see a single, public story about an NFL player, coach, exec, etc buying the team PS4s.
It would negatively affect the partnership that they are contractually bound to, if they started announcing they were buying competing consoles. It's like when they get fined for wearing Reebok shoes when they should have worn Nikes like everyone else.
Only story about a player getting PS4s was when a bunch of civilians snapped a bunch of pics of Dez Bryant buying them for random people at the midnight launch, because that's what the people wanted (would be worse PR if "people want PS4, NFL player gets them Xbox and tells them to be grateful") and he wanted to look good after the NFL was gonna fine him for the "throat slashing" gesture made in a previous game. If people didn't go all TMZ on him and post those pics for everyone to see, no one would have known about what he did (I sure didn't. Had to look up "NFL PS4" whereas it's in the news that Irsay and RGIII got Xboxes)
