Start work on creating good multithreaded development libraries and APIs for their next hardware. Multithreading is the way forward for processors and if they can get it sorted to have good early development kits for their next hardware platform it will be greatly appreciated by 3rd parties.
If they don't have one already, get a dedicated group of software and hardware engineers together with the single goal of dreaming up new ideas and strange concepts for future ideas. No need to make games, just ideas that other nintendo developers can use to make full games.
