Had their not been a specific law specifically banning something that couldn't of happened in the first place it probably would of never went to court.

Lol, yep.  Prop 8 is going to end up being one of the greatest thing to ever happen to the equal marriage movement. 

Well that, but i meant more that there was a specific law banning it in utah.

Had their not been, i'm not sure the lawsuit could of been filed, since they weren't being denied gay marriage by law.

Gay marriage just didn't exist.
