I could be wrong but it doesn't look to me like XB1 is selling too well, but that's just based on my anecdotal experience.

  • Anecdote 1: I have been trying to sell an unopened Xbox One - Day One on Craigslist for a week and no takers, even though I'm asking below retail price.
  • Anecdote 2: On Saturday I was at Toys R Us and they had XB1 in stock with a big sign at the entrance. There was a queue stretching half way around the store to check out. I didn't see anyone with a XB1.
  • Anecdote 3: Today Amazon had XB1 in stock and from what I observed it sold 40 units in 4+ hours. A few days ago the PS4 sold over 700 units in 4 hours.
  • Anecdote 4: On eBay you can tell from sold listings that PS4 is selling 4.5X more units than XB1.

Ofcourse Amazon + eBay are going to be less important to XB1 since it's in stock in a lot of stores, but still those are some significant gaps.

Anyhow, I live in a big metro area and Craigslist is usually a great place to sell stuff.  I have listed things like a TV or a car and sold them in a day.  The inability to sell an XB1 priced below retail makes me suspect the $500 price tag is stopping people from rushing out to buy XB1s.

Sory my friend. But, were you here or at NeoGaf at BlackFriday week?

We were flooded if claimes like yours of terrible was for Xbox One been in stock... well, other anedocts follow the next 2 weeks and for the US Xbox One out-sold PS4 almost close to 2 to 1.

Corollary: The best seller tec products of this hollydays are the iPad Air and iPhones, none of which are ever out of stock.
