Have you instlled and tried it yet? I was never big into Civ games but I always wanted to dwelve deeply into one.

Some people critizied CIv 5 compared to Civ 4 but I have forgotten what the main critics were.

After XCOM (on PS3) I crave a deep strategic experience again like in the old days of PC gaming.

Yep. It's fantastic! Worth every penny. It's my second Civ game, haven't played four before, so I can't say if it's better, but there's just so much depht and so much to do.

Not to mention that the music in the game is really good, and I'm a sucker for good music! :D

I'm a sucker for good music too.

What about those other changes in Civ 5 compared to Civ 4? I think there was some people complaining about the hexagon layout, something about being able to attack the next tile withouth the limitations you had in Civ 4.

The hexagon layout seemed fine to me. I suppose it makes it harder to block another unit though, but it works both ways.

So far the only bad thing I can say about the game is that it takes a rather long time per map, even while taking the second shortest playtime.
