For me, colours matter more than 1080p or super high polygon counts. All I ask is that the end result is aesthetically pleasing.

As Curl said, to each their own. But it must be boring after a while, playing realistic stuff only.

I love realism just like the next guy. But sometimes, a more stylistic approach to graphics is nice. Ni No Kuni, for example, isn't realistic at all. But the art style is really well rendered. This is the same here, with Mario games. And no, it's not just the colors that "fool" us. ¬_¬
