oh and hey.. I heard over in England they sometimes refer to cigarettes as fags. So I'm guessing if a Sony fanboy were wandering around England and for whatever odd reason, resembled a cigarette, you'd have to say..
'Hey, that guy kinda looks like a giant fag'

wow

In what dimension is that joke funny... It's not this one.

to be honest, the comparison is sort of a blank canvas. If you really take the time to understand it, you'd realize I'm not saying anything derogatory about anything or anyone.
the displeasure you feel after reading it is of your own design. I present a fairly straightforward picture using a term and a character discription that are both real and valid.
I intentionally left it up to the reader to interpret the comparison using his or her own biases and subjective stereotypes.. that you find the comparison uncomfortable is entirely on you, as you're the one who 'filled in the blanks' as it were, with YOUR OWN negative connotation.
I simply presented an objective thought... you CHOSE to see it a certain way.
what does that say about you?
do YOU have a problem with tolerance?,
with accepting others that may think differently?
think about it.

To be honest, it fails at a humor/humour because it's far too complex of a setup to begin to be funny.  However, it also fails because you lack the properly knowledge of the language (English).  If you have to explain the setup so other people get why it's funny to you, it's probably not really that funny at all.

A fag is someone who does menial labor/tasks in British English.  The slang term is a cigarette.  The slang term derives from fagot (US) faggot (British), which is a bundle of twigs.  The implication is that a cigarette resembles a twig in the mouth.  Fag as slang for a homosexual male is an Americanism.  Thus, it's doubtful that anyone would in England or Britian would call someone a fag.  Even if somehow they looked like a cigarette or a twig.  They might be called a twat, a cunt, a wanker, a ned, or a chav, but a fag would be the least likely thing a Brit would call another Brit.

And this is why your attempt at not only humor but a slam fails miserably.  Don't defend it.  Just move on.

where exactly do I call what I wrote humorous, or admit that it's an attempt at a joke Adinn?
Can you point that out for me, because that's what YOU keep referring to it as. (I've bolded your words for you)

In my reply above I repeatedly refer to what I wrote as a comparison, in fact, I stated that three times.
Why do YOU see it as an attempt at a joke when the writer, that would be me, clearly states that it's a comparison.

I don't know.. maybe it you, not me. Maybe you should be the one to move on.

Besides, I'm pretty sure I understand the English language just fine, but I have to honestly question your ability; as comprehension of what's written is as paramount to a complete understanding of language as is the act of writing itself.. you know..

What makes you think it was intended as joke in the first place?
especially considering that, within the context of what's written, the last comment would be a 'factual' one.

You seem to be completely misinterpreting it.
