So, there is a lot about nintendo that we love and hate, but somethings bug us most than others. This is problably because some  things only applies to some regions. so i decided to make a thread about wich one you like, and wich one you hate.

NoJ(Nintendo of Japan): There is something to say about there, like most of collaborative projects comes from asian company, like SE and sega. There is actually some exclusives hardcore franchises there, like MH and DQ. They even got a port of one of yakuza games there, atough it tanked badly. The marketing is okay too, towards players in all ages. The most established franchises come there first, and there is some new ips there too, in 3DS. The bad thing is, their eshop suck, there is actually only one game indie there:  nano assault neo. They actually demand a publisher, so don't works so well for then and some indie developers down there areadly fleed the console, and nothing  seems to change in foresably future. Also, they have a ton of special editionns of 3DS and Wiiu too(lot of acessories too). They don't go to much gaming events there too

NoA(Nintendo of america): First things first, is more like nintendo of canda and usa, since almost every major event and promotion only apllies to these 2 countries. In brazil, there is no eshop, altough the console just launched there(november 2013 actually). They don't have much collaboration projects with studios in here too. Their marketing department suck, athough 3DS adverts are not that bad. Their prices are the lowest across the world, and they come to most of events here too, atough not aways pumping it up. They make some event of themselves, and even here in latin america, the only event of any game company around here actually. The indie support is the strongest, and we have some good release dates for theirs stablished franchises, but promotions are somewhat rare and not that good most of the time. Eastern franchises sometimes get realeased very late around here, after even europe(like rainfall games). Models and acessories aways came late or never in here.

NoE(Nitenndo of europe): some eshop prices are actually higher than the ones on retail, and most of the prices are the major rip-off. Their marketing department is decent most of the time, altough still target children. They have more models than usa, but less than japan. They have some really great special editions, and some promotion are really worth(buy pikmin, get w101 half of the price). Eastern games come there first than usa, but the eshop is not in the level of the noa one. And, austraulia use the same region than europe, but this causes a major problem licensing games in that region. The third support is the worst. The presence on events are soemwhat lacking, and some services like TVii and club nitnendo just doesn't work there across all countries. Their VC titles have some problems with reprodution there too. Their retail presence is the worst too.

Remenber that this info is based on infos that is posted on here and some others websites, so fell free to correct me.

"Hardware design isn’t about making the most powerful thing you can.
Today most hardware design is left to other companies, but when you make hardware without taking into account the needs of the eventual software developers, you end up with bloated hardware full of pointless excess. From the outset one must consider design from both a hardware and software perspective."
