Maybe you guys are right. Maybe Forza 5 truly does suck. I don't yet have an Xbox One, so I can't yet be the judge.

Just tell me this. After spending so much time playing Forza Motorsport 4, is it even possible for me to go back to the Gran Turismo franchise? I don't relish the idea of using cars and racing on tracks that have (for the most part) been copied and pasted from Gran Turismo 4, a game that was released nearly a decade ago on a significantly less powerful console. And no car damage?

The car damage in F5 is pure BS, i crashed a car in real life.  Crash F5 at 100mph and it look like some one stomped on the front end a few times.  I will not consider damage an advantge untill its real and legit not the fake damage Forza currently has.  After 10 hours of F5 gaming the damage in no way makes or breaks the game.  Yahh its there but its mostly irrelevent to me.

"There are seven new tracks in GT6, each with a unique personality and photorealistic looks. It might be the lack of flora in the area, but Willow Springs is nearly indiscernible from reality"  not my opinion but of road and track, people that actually dive the tracks and opinion actually matters.  So do explain exactly what track looks so awefull, dont make such a general statement any one with GT6 can easily call bs on.
