I wouldn't say people here praise them.. Maybe just a "nice work!" or pat on the back.

Better to get fat and lose the weight than simply get fat and stay fat.. Also it's much much easier to gain the weight than to lose it, speaking as someone who has lost nearly 30 pounds in the past few years. Probably took me a year to gain that weight and mainly was a result of me sitting around and eating all the foods I liked, whereas to lose it (and keep it off) I had to implement a pretty hardcore 4-5 day a week workout regimen, cut way back on my junk foods and drinking, eat more boring vegatables, and that took me roughly twice the time.

Out of curiosity, what sort of eating habbits did you have and change to?

I always find it a bit sad when people mention boring food when trying to lose weight. A lot of people just don't know all the great things you can eat that also make you feel better. I don't drink alcohol or soda, no junk food or processed food and I really try to limit products with added flavours and colourings, yet not a single boring meal. The mind just needs to be open to new experiences.

I'd also like to point out that keeping it together your entire life is by no means any less of an accomplishment than getting it back together.
