Maybe but considering that they said they can produce about 300k per week and they are in stock on almost every website and in every store, I just dont see how they are going to be any higher then 1.2 million max.

For both consoles they started production a few months ago. Lots of those units went to launch, but they also reserve a lot for December. Also in Sony's case they are shipping units by air that originally would have been for January.

 

For reference the Wii U sold 1.8 million in Dec.
