i had this the trick is on some waves, you have to kill the collectors in the correct order so a smart bomb or not shooting the targeted collector will kill the human. 

i've also read that you have to have certain multipliers for some waves?

The correct order thing is something that I have only just noticed, it's a real pain, I don't have time to decide who I'm going to shoot, I just shoot everything!
