Well I've tried it. Everytihng is improved, handling is phenomenal, probably the best in any MK game. I can't tell about items, the demo build only had shells, banas and mushroom. If you like the series a whole set of new stages, very improved handling and very imporved graphics are already a good reason get a sequel.
