One problem I do have on my PC is an undeletable malware adware add-on on Firefox called Okitspace. I've had a look around for ways to get rid of it, but every time I've come across "click on this link" instructions and I just don't trust where that link is going to take me, so I always get dead ends.

Use this and run one scan.  I checked elsewhere that this does remove your specific malware. This utility doesn't run permanently, only when you ask it to scan.

Worked a treat, as well as finding a bunch of other things that were perhaps slightly more benign but still a mild annoyance and good to remove.
