No. Nintendo did the exact same thing with StarFox Adventures. The Gamecube had a similar problem with games coming out. The demand must really be getting to them. Miyamoto forced Rare to reskin Star Fox Adventures in a similar fashion when they were working on a new IP back in the GC era. This will probably turn out worse. Nintendo isn't making the game. Its the Dynasty Warriors team.
The only way I can see this being a hit is if people are fans of Dynasty Warriors. From the look at the sales on VG Chartz of Dynasty Warriors their glory days were in the early 2000's on the PS2 and thats where it ends.
If you don't remember history you're doomed to repeat it.

Nintendo is always desperate. They've been doomed since...

Never said they were doomed, just desperate. The only thing they are doomed to is to repeat bad mistakes in history like cheap reskinning to push a game with the Zelda name out to people. As I said before, they did the same thing to Star Fox. Funny...we haven't seen a Star Fox since.

I don't think it's a sign of desperation. If they pulled staff from Zelda U to work on this or if they cancelled or delayed that project for this one, then it would be desperation. There's a third party working on it. It's finally some third party support from a Japanese developer and it helps in both Japan (because of the genre) and the west (because it's Zelda) in a critical year for the Wii U. It's a smart move, and a win win.
