The only reason Xbox was able to stay afloat is because of a shooter franchise, whereas Sony built the PlayStation on MANY different genres.

Actually Sony had more dudebro FPS than anybody. Killzone (the ultimate dudebro title) 1, 2, 3, 4, MAG, Socom, Resistance 1, 2, 3. All 1st party, all flops to one degree or another. Sony shall chase Halo forever....

 

Microsoft only has one 1sty party FPS (though it probably outsells all Sony's FPS combined)
