...or take your pick of any other project.  DK got delayed too.   these remixes will do nothing for anyone that isn't a massive nintendo fan.   ..not exactly the crowd nintendo needs to convince to buy a wiiU.   pretty much any other project would have been worthy of these resources.

It's a good way for Nintendo to get some quick cash in the meantime. Who's to say if diverting the few people that helped make games like this or Zelda would have actually gotten other software out on time? You're right that it's a possibility, but only a possibility.
