Are games really becoming so expensive to make that a million copies sold is considered bad/flop or is it the people who's expectations are just too high, I guess it widely depends on the developer and game. I just can't get used to the idea of a game that sold 800k in a single week being a flop, won't this game go on to sell 2 to 3 million+ in it's lifetime? |
some games, even 3d ones are happy with 1m. It's just being efficient with your money which many devs don't seem to have gotten down pat (mainly Squeenix). LBP and Infamous haven't done great since their first installments yet they get sequels and I can only guess it's because they made money.
