It just depends what your definition of flop is.
My definition of flop is not profitable, or barely profitable to the point of being a waste of time.
Games like Alan Wake, Socom, Resistance 3, Starhawk, Twisted Metal, Zombi U those are flops, just a waste of time to make.
GT6 probably had a budget around 20-30 million development budget with minimal marketing it's poised to sell around 1.2 million by the end of this year if not more plus take microtransactions into account, game should make money by all accounts.
How are you gonna state a game is a flop even if it makes a substantial amount of money?
Oh shit a game sold 20 million copies yet it somehow made no money but to me its NOT a FLOP, but a game that sells 3 million copies and makes a good profit is a FLOP!
Just sounds stupid, there's no logic to it. Can't say whether GT6 is a flop or not yet, video games are long term investment.
Killer Instinct must be a flop since it sold 0 copies(I know its digital).
