How do you figure?  Nintendo has way more exclusives than either of them, and if people don't start buying the WiiU tons of people are missing out on amazing Nintendo games.  If the PS4 had its demand properly manufactured it prob would have outsold the WiiU's lifetime sales in 1 week of release.  Imagine how much Nintendo software would have sold with those PS4's when shelved next to the largely mediocore launch lineup it had / has.  I think Nintendo would make a total killing if they did it.  Certainly enough where it wouldn't matter if the WiiU sells well or not.  You could use it if you want or if you love Nintendo but think it is a bit gimmicky you can just play them on another platform.  I think it would rocket Nintendo to the top.  I like all of the Big 3 but I for one, find the WiiU a little bit too gimicky, but that being said, it has tons of amazing games.

Nintendo is the lone defender of an entire console philosophy. People like you just don't get what would be lost if Nintendo stopped making consoles. (supporting other platforms basically is the same as killing your own platform)

What philosophy??? And how that would change by keeping suport for Wii from 2010-12?
