I stream loads of stuff from Netflix, but I get everything else from Sky Go, it gives me most channels (all sports channels) if I want to watch it off my TV. But the Sky box itself offers such a good range of on demand stuff and I record most things anyway, since it is the best way to ensure you'll get HD and you can keep it for as long as you want
The only sort of illegal streaming I do is faking my location. I live in the UK, but sometimes use Netflix USA or pretend to be back in the UK when I'm away
