I will always point that out when someone says something like... "you'll see the decline despite the user base getting bigger." Many IPs decline even with the userbases getting bigger. We've seen it happen over and over in past generations as well.

yes that is true but you are missing my initial point, there were also IPs that increased. But for the Wii particulary these blue ocean games, minigame comps dance etc. they all went down, by a lot. IMHO looking at that, id say a new WIi 2 at least game wise would not have sold hot either because at least those types of games that were popular on Wii decreased in popularity(you can see something similar with 3ds) I dont think a more powerful better looking versions of the same thing would have mattered since that audiecence didnt care for such things anyway.
