User scores are not made by single individuals, they are done by hundreads.

Commercial reviews are done by publications that depend on advertisement revenue from the publishers to survive.

You go figure wich one is more honest.

On metacritic? None. The user score system is binary. Haters give COD 0/10 and fanboys hold against it with 10/10's. The only opinions about COD I trust are those of friends. I know what games they like and they have no reason for hyperbole. The internet can fuck right off, at least when it comes to COD.

Well, i dont care about about reviews, but he is pulling up a 69 to say the game is worth having and so i pulled a 2.9 from user score to tell him its not all roses. There are many problems with the system, but the user scoring system filters them out the more voters there are. Just like there are haters, there are also fanboys. In the end you get an average.

Doesnt mean its a correct score, but its more honest than the one given by a commercial publication wich depends on the publisher for survival. Their stadard vary according to the publisher and the influence they have on revenue. Simply, not to be trusted.

If you asked me wich one i would trust more: the metacritic of commercial reviews or the user score, i would say the user score unless it has a really low number of reviews.
