treated less harshly? Yes... went unpunished, no? The analogy would be the shoplifter got rewarded for apologizing for his mistake.
I have no intention to get anyone 'pissed off', and frankly, if you get pissed one if someone makes fun of the company who makes your console? You really need to think twice on if you really should put so much emotional investment in a company you don't even own.
